The word "Nevruz" is a composite noun of Persian origin, combining "nev," which means new, and "ruz," denoting day. Thus, Nevruz literally means "new day." In Arabic, it is written as "nayruz."
While the word Nevruz has entered our daily speech during recent years, many do not know its real meaning. But people really would like to learn what Nevruz means, after the unfortunate association of the word with the bloody incidents of March in recent years in Turkey.
Nevruz is the name of March 21, considered the first day in Iran's solar calendar. The day is not marked in the lunar calender used in the Muslim world, since this calender has a rotating structure.
In the Iranian calendar, Ferverdin is the first month of the year and Nevruz, the first day. Iranians call this day Nevruz-u Amme (People's Nevruz) and this is the real Nevruz.

And they changed Cem's name to Cemshid, adding to his name the noun "shid," which means light in the Pahlavi tongue.

Én speciel értem a kérdést, a válaszom az, hogy 443 napos, 15 hónapos holdév volt, ahogy a források atyja Suetonius irta. A későbbi "források" - Censorinus, Macrobius, Scaliger, Petavius, Mommsen - csak sikertelen spekulációk.
