Piros pünkösd öltözik sugárba,
Mosolyogva száll le a világra.
Nyomában kél édes rózsa-illat,
Fényözön hull, a szivek megnyilnak.

Hogy először tünt fel a világnak:
Tüzes nyelvek alakjába’ támadt.
Megoldotta apostolok nyelvét,
Hirdeté a győzedelmes eszmét.

Piros pünkösd, juttasd tiszta fényed’
Ma is minden bánkodó szivének,
Hogy ki tévelyg kétségbe’, homályba’:
Világitó sugaradat áldja.

Habozóknak oldjad meg a nyelvét,

Tanits meg uj nyelvre, uj imára.
Oszlasd széjjel mindenütt az éjet,
