Kylie is tomorrow up for an award having been nominated twice in the Ivor Novello Awards for 2002. This follows amazing success at last year's event with Can't Get You Out Of My Head.
The songwriting awards take place tomorrow at Le Meridien Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London W1, with Kylie's winning looking highly likely. She is nominated TWICE in the category of Most Performed Work (Sponsored by PRS) with In Your Eyes and Love At First Sight. The third entry is Liberty X's Just A Little. Kylie's track Can't Get You Out Of My Head picked up 3 awards last year for writers Cathy Dennis and Rob Davis:
"The event belonged to Cathy Dennis and Rob Davis, whose joint inspiration Can’t Get You Out Of My Head, recorded by Kylie Minogue, collected a hat-trick of awards as the PRS Most Performed Work, The Ivors Dance Award and International Hit Of The Year. It was the first three-times winner in The Ivors for the same year since Believe in 1999. It was also nominated for the Best Selling UK Single."
The finalised tracklistings for the reissue of 'Kylie Minogue' and 'Impossible Princess' have been announced, with slight alterations from the last reported version:
'Kylie Minogue' loses the (unimpressive) 'If I Was Your Lover' (Allstar Mix) and (uninspired) 'Confide In Me' (Damien's Confession Mix) and gains the fantastic, though previously released 'Confide In Me' (Big Brothers Mix) and 'If You Don't Love Me' (Acoustic Version), which we *believe* is different to the virtually-acoustic version released on the 'Confide In Me' single in 1994. 'Impossible Princess' remains the same to the list we previously reported. Full steam ahead for May 26th!

Igazából ezeknek a remixes kiadványoknak úgy volna értelme ha a bonus CD tényleg bónusz, vagyis ingyen volna. Ehelyett minden köcsög kiadó, vagy lemezbolt beleépíti az árba a plusz CD-t, mint többlet terméket. Erre én azt mondom rohadjon rájuk az egész. Adjon a jó kurva anyja 8 ezer Ft-ot érte!
Ráadásul a legtöbb remixnek nincs is értelme.
Kylie's got rhythm to crack US

Kylie Minogue secretly plans to relaunch herself as an R&B star in a bid to crack America. She has asked writers to come up with songs similar to those produced by THE NEPTUNES. They helped make JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE’s hugely successful album Justified and have also worked with BEYONCE KNOWLES and BRITNEY SPEARS.
Kylie has also been working with Eighties dance guru CURTIS MANTRONIX on electro dance tracks. A source close to Kylie told me: “She’s been very impressed with the work The Neptunes’ PHARRELL WILLIAMS has done with Timberlake and NELLY.
“She hopes this style will help her get chart hits in the States. So far she’s only had limited success there and she thinks she might do it if she gets a more R&B sound.”
I reckon Kylie should stick to dancey pop tunes like Spinning Around and Can’t Get You Out Of My Head, which transformed her career and put her back on top.
Just remember what happened to the SPICE GIRLS when they decided to go R&B— they flopped.
Re-releases of the 'Kylie Minogue' and 'Impossible Princess' albums by BMG!!!
Both albums hit the shops in the UK first. Both will feature the original album, plus an additional 'companion' CD of rare and unreleased material. 'Impossible Princess' will also have its original title restored.
There are also no plans at this stage for a BMG DVD release (though its a bl**dy good idea!).

Kylie goes classical to make ballet debut

Kylie Minogue has shed her pop-starlet image and turned in a rather more classical performance in her latest video. Indeed the Aussie singer has replaced her trademark micro-minis with en elegant floor-length gown for her ballet debut with the Rambert Dance Company.
"She's exchanged the revealing costumes she wears in her stage performances for something far more subtle," said dance guru Rafael Bonachela, who created the choreography.
The 34-year-old singer meanwhile says she is delighted to be working with the legendary artist. "I feel very honoured to be welcomed into Rafael's world of dance," declared the petite songstress. "The choreography is so exciting and distinct."
Kylie's performance will be beamed onto a 30-foot gauze screen while live dancers take to the stage for the performance of 21. The RDC's new production, which is being premiered in Wales, will later move to Sadler’s Wells in London. By donning ballet pumps, Kylie is following in the footsteps of her mother Carol, who is a ballet dancer.
